Once a year, HCIS students are given opportunities to participate in Overseas Exchange Trips where real-life application of language skills acquired will take place.
In 2011, we visited Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, and Suzhou. Our children sat in classes with the local kids, took to the courts playing games with them, and even got to visit several magnificent cultural sites like The Forbidden City and The Great Wall of China.
The focus of this overseas component is to grant our children a crucial opportunity to extend their learning outside of a brick-and-mortar environment into the real world.
